Though We Be Silent, You Are Not

I love animals, you love animals, well most people do like animals. However, people usually disagree about animals in how to treat them, from eating them to worshiping them. Despite that, something we can in generally agree is that we should treat them right. Nevertheless, how should we go about making sure that they are treated correctly? In the following one will be discussing the topic about animal treatment and the effort being done.

The world does not treat animals well. That said, one refers to not them being killed but how they live. There are many stories of how animals are treated which are best described as torture.

To fully understand it, animals are left in the dark, locked in cages that conform around their body, like a second skin, and that is how they live and die. Their whole purpose is to get fat or lay eggs.

While that might seem extreme, it is extreme, and it is all to common. Nor does it take a bleeding heart to feel sad, but a normal person to see the absolute waste, the stupidity and the utter mindlessness of it.

To combat this cruelty we have vegans and veterinarians. However, despite their best interest at heart, or hypocrisy, they are like that old quote, all it takes for good men to do nothing for evil to flourish. The thing is, if they are those “good men” they are letting evil flourish, but in this case, animal cruelty. By refusing to eat just meat or use animal products in the case of vegans, they are only saying: We don’t actually care about the animals, but our own high morals. If they really cared about those animals, they would be those who took action. Action like knocking doors, rallying, internet campaigns and so and so forth. Choosing to not eat meat is no action at all, so thus being "good men" who do nothing.

Then you have animal activist, they are extreme. However, we do need that extreme. Not too much, but they are needed. They are often wrong and crazy, but the world needs someone extreme to spear head the better treatment of animals. They are not ideal, but in this time they are needed, maybe not to the extent of idiocy of PETA, but they are still needed.

Animal cruelty is still very much in this world. It is cruel to the animals and it is cruel to us. When animals are stressed or unhappy, they seem to be able to pass that unto us. So that the food is either not as tasty or healthy. If animal cruelty is going to stop, vegans or vegetarians aren’t going to be able to do it, nor will the animal activists. The vegans and vegetarians because they are to caught up with what they can’t eat, and the activist, because they are activist.

So if this situation is going to be resolved, it’ll probably up to us. Those who use the most animal products. One, because it affects us the most, two because we are many, and three, because we are most competent. Competent, that people would be willing to hear the voice of real people, not someone who’s out to prove something, but just a simple ever day person who wants something better. Like a better world for animals and the meaning of being a human being.
